It's been a long time...

I've been so busy with work.  I've worked over 55 hours a week but the end is coming. I'll probably be done our fiscal year end by Good Friday.  This crazy work has not left much room for any stitching.  I'm offering your today a freebie by Les Brodeuses Parisiennes:

You can also check out their amazing Magazine : Création Poinx De Croix
Have a good Easter!

Where are all the needleshop stores...

UPDATE : I have opened my own needleshop store in Ottawa.

Visit at www.TheStitchingShop.com

www.TheStitchingShop.com

Here, in Ottawa, Ontario, we used to have one wonderful cross stitch store. Now it's closed.  Then, the other one that was further east closed...  Yes, I do buy some supplies online but I really like to see the merchandise, the floss and all the new stuff from the Nashville market. I found a Needlework shop in Syracuse. (3 hours away)  We go there form time to time to shop.  Is the online world destroying our small shops?  Even Wal Mart does not carry Anchor floss anymore.

Here is the progress on my box :

Continuing a old project

Lately I'm getting  bit tired of stitching shades of whites (blue, green...) on my Sabrina.   I've pick up an old project that I need to finish. It's from a Canadian designer named Jeanette Douglas.  The finished piece goes on top of a wooden tread box.  I've started this project in .... 2005.  I need to finish this ASAP.

It's called My Stitching Treasures by Jeanette Douglas.

Here is a picture of the finished product :

Discovery - Les Brodeuses Parisiennes

I recently came across this beautiful French Cross Stitch Site. They sell pre-finished item to cross stitch items like small bags, placemats and dish towels.  Here a few pictures :

I just love the French Style of it.  I never use the finished cross stitch to make a bag or an other item.  So this would give me the chance to use a piece of art in everyday life!!  To purchase :  Les Brodeuses Parisiennes.  To visit their blog : Les Brodeuses Parisiennes - BLOG.

Enjoy !
