Easter is almost here

Easter is almost at our door.  The snow is all gone and I can see the tulips.  Here in Ottawa we have the Tulip festival in May.  It's all around town but mostly near the downtown core.  Here what it looks like (in previous years):
Ottawa's tulip tradition started after the Second World War. The Dutch government and royal family donated over 100,000 tulip bulbs to Canada as a "thank you" for the generosity and help of Canadians during the war. Each year, the Dutch royal family still sends 20,000 bulbs to Canada.  Ok, to know more you can visit www.tulipfestival.ca.

Back to my Sabrina, here are some updates.  I've finally started her face.  I made a small change : her eye will be blue!  Like mine!

Maybe I'll advance more on the Easter long week end.

A little more progress on Sabrina

In the last week, I've finished a quilt I started 2 years ago.  I might have injured my wrist because, my wrist was numb for a whole week. So here it the progress I've done so far:

So more stitching to come during the next few days...

Side Project

A few week ends ago I bought Kata Golda's Hand Stitch Felt and after ordering the right kind of felt, I finally made one of the patterns for my niece.  I took only a few hours and I'm pretty happy about it.  I made most of it watching New Moon.

Here is the result :
I had so much fun making this project that I'll probably make one for my nephew.  I'll dress him up in a Beaver outfit.  I'll post pictures when it's done.

Progress

A bit of progress. Starting the hair and soon the face. I made a copy of the pattern and I usually use a highlighter to mark what I have done.

Sabrina progress

Here is my tiny progress on Sabrina. Just a little bit on the top of the pattern.

And here is my setting to stitch.

Sabrina - Mirabilia

Ok, just got my new cross stitch pattern from Mirabilia.  It's called Sabrina.  I choose this cross stitch pattern because it looks like my own  wedding dress.

It took me approximately 2 hours to put all the DMC floss into bobbin. I have not done much stitching after that because my hands were tired.  I'll update a picture of the progress pretty soon.
